I had the pleasure to create photographs for the relaunch of the website of Erpel, a village 50km south of Cologne.
The “Alte Herrlichkeit” at the foot of the Erpeler Ley is a medieval Rhine village near the Siebengebirge.
1,500 years of local history have shaped the character of the old town, which has been preserved despite heavy war damage. The local community of Erpel has approx. 2,800 inhabitants.
It is located in the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate on the right side of the Rhine opposite the old Roman town of Remagen.
